It is in the form of a diary - musings of some sort- of a guy who is more than sixty, but in the heart of hearts he does not seem to accept his advancing age.
I am a young man of 70 years. My nickname is Tipu.Once upon a time I was supposed to be a bright student. I studied in Kolkata, and England. Have a number of degrees, like BE, M.Sc, PhD etc. Spent 10 years in England on two instalments. Was in Ranchi for more than fifteen years, in the R&D Organisation of SAIL ,
From 1988 I lived, and worked in Delhi, first 5 years at the Corporate Planning Division of SAIL Head quarters, and later for 12 years at IIT Delhi. My wife Suchitra worked in the Economic Research Unit of JPC,in reality of the Ministry of Steel of the Govt of India. My younger daughter Nandana is an economist, presently working for a Ph D at the Tepper School of CMU in USA. . My first daughter Ananya lives in England with her husband Sambit- Dr Sambit Sen MRCP, MD. Ananya is also an Economist, engaged with KPMG in London, UK.
I studied Mechanical Engineering. I became a Professor of Management at the International Management Institute, Delhi, Thapar Institute at Patiala and IIM Kozhikode, after my superannuation in 2005. . Before this I was in R&D profession and a Corporate Planner in SAIL, and an Industry Interfacer in FITT of IIT Delhi.
